Teeez - Cool

Today I'm showing you a pretty prismatic polish from the brand Teeez called Cool. Prismatic polishes from Teeez are quite sheer and so is this one, so I applied three coats. Drying time was fast, though. The perfect sky blue prismatic polish. ^^

Essence - Blue Ray

Last year, Essence released the MeetMe@Holographics.com trend edition, which was said to contain five holographic polishes. As some of you may know, Essence doesn't know the definition of h o l o g r a p h i c. 'Where Is The Party?' and 'Out Of My Mind' from Essence's Colour & Go line where said to be holographic too, but they appeared to be duochrome. Just like this collection. At the time, I was already expecting it, so I was just looking out for five gorgeous duochrome shades. And they turned out to be pretty amazing!

Because I'm more leaning towards darker shades, this is one of my favourites. It's called 'Blue Ray' and is one of the two dark shades. Unfortunately, the duochrome effect is pretty invisible in my picture. To give you an idea, the base colour is blue and it has a purple duochrome effect. This is a two-coater.

Some China Glaze Pretties

Just some random pretties I decided to swatch, because I didn't wear them yet or just because they deserve a better picture.

China Glaze - Bahamian Escape. The perfect sky blue cream.

China Glaze - He's Going In Circles. Unfortunately the only Kaleidoscope polish I have.

China Glaze - Pink Voltage Neon. The name says it all, it's a pink neon and it dries matte.

Barry M - Cobalt Blue & Barry M - Spring Green

Cobalt Blue. This looks a bit less washed out in real life, but it's absolutely gorgeous. The name of this polish says it all. Two coats.

Spring Green. This deserves to have a better swatch and I should've applied three coats instead of two. Pardon my dry cuticles!

China Glaze - Frostbite

For today's post I'm showing you China Glaze's Frostbite. A true winter colour, if you ask me.
Last week, I felt the sudden urge to order some random China Glaze pretties that were still on my wish list, so I ordered ten new polishes, including Frostbite. This is typically one of those polishes that have been on my wish list forever, but I somehow never ordered it. That's probably because of new collections coming out, but I really should pay older polishes some attention too, lol.

Anyway, Frostbite is a stunner. It's a very vibrant, medium blue. I found the application to be very smooth, two coats were enough for this one. Frostbite was part of China Glaze's Ski Winter Color collection. I would call Frostbite a typical 'in your face' blue. In real, it looks even more vivid than in my picture. I would totally recommend Frostbite if you're a sucker for blue just like me.

Essence Crystalliced Limited Edition: Swatches & Review

Last week, I went to Germany and I picked up Essence's newest trend edition called 'Crystalliced'. A perfect winter collection, if you ask me. So, this is what Essence says about this new trend edition:

''chilly cold weather, dancing snowflakes and ice crystals sparkling on your window… that’s why we love the winter! with the new trend edition "crystalliced"essencecaptures this breathtaking spectacle of nature in january and february 2012 to conjure-up frosty, cool styles sure to make the hearts of all ice princesses beat a little bit faster! delicate pastel shades, subtle shimmer effects and cool textures turn the winter into the most beautiful time of year – at least as far as your make-up is concerned!''

To be honest, I kind of forgot about this collection. Not because they didn't appeal to me at first sight, but because I was focused at their 'Circus Circus!' trend edition, which I can't seem to get my hands on. I was happily surprised when I saw this trend edition and bought them all.
So let's go on to the pictures:

01 It's A Snow-womans World
These kind of colors have never really been my taste.
It's a grey shade with a very subtle shimmer. This
shimmer is barely visible. I applied two coats.

02 Ice Crystals On My Window
This one was quite sheer, so I applied three coats.
I have to say I don't really care about the sheerness,
since it's really pretty. It has this coral shimmer in it.
I'm not even sure if this can be called shimmer..
It's like it has micro flakies in it, I love it.

03 Iced Age Reloaded
A taupe shade with lots of fine shimmer in it.
Nothing special, I think it looks very natural. This is
two coats.

04 Ice Eyes Baby
This is my favourite. The colour seems to shift between
grey and light blue and it has this pink shimmer in it,
it's really gorgeous. This also was two coats.

05 Frosted Champaign
I wore this at a new year's party. I wanted to wear
something more festive, but I decided to wear this one
anyway, because it matched my clothes and I wanted
to try it out! I think they picked the perfect name for
this, because of the gold shimmer it has.

I think this is perfect for winter, but I wouldn't wear this all year long. The formula was a bit too runny if you ask me, but it's not unmanageable. You get an 8 ml bottle for €1,79. Not too bad, is it?

Nfu Oh - 65

To start off this new year, I'm wearing Nfu Oh #65. Nfu Oh is a brand that I love, particularly because of their prismatic polishes. The holo effect is amazing, even without any sun light or other light, it's clearly there. The downside about Nfu Oh prismatics is that they always leave bald spots on your nails, even after three coats. There is this Aqua Base coat (also from Nfu Oh), which should prevent this, I really should get that!

I wish you all a very happy and healthy 2012!
