So, today I decided to swatch my Art De Lautrec collection. I don't think this is a well-known brand, but they actually make pretty good prismatic glitter polishes, and also some creams and duochromes.
41. I first thought this was just a plain, brown cream, but it it appears to have shimmer in it. It was a bit sheer, three coats for this one.
46. A brown shimmer with flakies which unfortunately don't really show up in the picture. Two coats.
51. So this is the duochrome I was talking about. A purple shimmer with a violet duochrome-effect. Three coats.
60. A pretty purple cream, two coats.
01B. A purple glitter I purchased second hand, glad I got it! These are three coats.
04B. A gorgeous black holographic polish! I love this one. Two coats.
05B. A red holographic glitter. Two coats.
07B. A brown holographic glitter, another stunner.
10B. Silver holographic glitter. I applied one coat over two coats of black, because it totally doesn't offer any coverage when applied on it's own.
13B. And last but not least: a pink linear holographic polish. The holographic effect is not very strong, but it is definitely there. Two coats.
So.. This is the nail art I made with the 'Raspberry Fields Forever' base. I wanted it to look like some regular animal nail art design.. But because of the colour combination, it looks reggae. And I don't even like reggae! ^^ I do like the design though. So first, I applied Catrice's Raspberry Fields Forever and then I sponged my nails with China Glaze Happy Go Lucky and Barry M Spring Green. The Zebra design is on plate BM-223. I used P2 - Eternal for stamping.
Although this really isn't my shade, I was wearing it anyway because I wanted to do a nail art with it. I'm sure some of you are familiar with Catrice's nail polish line called 'Ultimate Nail Lacquer'. This is Raspberry Fields Forever and it leans towards red, but I would still call it a dark pink. This is just one coat.
Today I'm wearing a very strong duochrome called Wildlife. This was also part of Nubar's Going Green collection. The base colour seems to be a pink copper colour, but it's not very difficult to see that there's also a strong green duochrome effect in this. I'm not really a duochrome fan, but I would totally recommend this to those who love duochrome.
Today I'm wearing one of China Glaze's Poolside polishes. I believe this was their 2009 Summer collection. It's full of neons, me likey!
So this one is called Flip Flop Fantasy, the colour shifts between orange and pink. I had to apply three coats, but I didn't really mind because neons tend to dry very fast.
Then this morning, I went shopping with my mum after finishing this week's last test. I picked up some pretty nice things, also some clothes and stuff for my room.
Color Club released an awesome glitter collection last Fall, called the Backstage Pass collection. Fame & Fortune is my favourite out of this collection. Fame & Fortune is a pink jelly with shattered holographic pieces. They're all random sized. They remind me of a broken mirror with pieces of glass everywhere, it's so.. different, I love it! I thought about layering this polish, but I decided to wear it on its own. It's opaque with two coats, so I don't think it'd be necessary to layer this beauty.
